What is CBD Title

Written December 27, 2021 By Ashley Dunne

You’ve probably heard of CBD by now, even if you’re not exactly sure what it is. CBD is making its way into mainstream society and has been name-dropped in pop culture by celebrities, influencers, TV shows, movies, songs, and more. It seems like it has something to do with cannabis, but what exactly is CBD

CBD, aka cannabidiol, is a natural compound produced in cannabis and hemp plants. This compound is so popular these days because it has a vast range of fantastic benefits.

Keoni CBD is here to help you learn more about these benefits and all there is to know about this wonderful substance. A great place to start is at the beginning.

What Is A Cannabinoid?

To answer what cannabidiol is, we need to dive deep into the cannabis plant and its parts. CBD is short for cannabidiol and is the second most well-known cannabinoid. Cannabinoids are natural compounds found in the cannabis family of plants. Marijuana, hemp, and the rest of the cannabis family are full of cannabinoids!

Here at Keoni CBD, we like to think of cannabinoids as the active ingredients in cannabis and hemp. There are more than 100 cannabinoids currently identified. Cannabis plants are very complex organisms. We wouldn’t be surprised if researchers find even more active ingredients as time goes on.

Cannabinoids are responsible for all the effects weed users feel when taking marijuana. CBD is one of the most famous cannabinoids, second only in pop-culture awareness to THC. (If THC sounds familiar, that’s because it’s the compound that makes cannabis users feel high.) Other notable cannabinoids include CBG, CBN, and more.

Does CBD Get You High

Does CBD Get You High?

CBD is a remarkable substance, but it doesn’t get you high. THC is the cannabinoid that’s responsible for making cannabis users feel high. CBD is a different substance with different uses and effects than THC. Getting you high simply isn’t on the table with CBD.

The closest you’ll come to feeling high on CBD is feeling a general state of calm, relaxation, and pain relief. Depending on how bad your anxiety, stress, pain, inflammation, or depression was, this could still feel like a vast improvement! However, don’t discount the physical and mental relief you’ll experience just from the positive CBD effects. At Keoni CBD, you don’t always need to get high to feel better and enhance your lifestyle. Just be sure to buy CBD online from a trusted source with lab-tested and carefully formulated products.

What Is The Difference Between CBD And THC?

What is CBD, and what is the difference between CBD and THC? CBD and THC have many things in common. For instance, these compounds are both found in cannabis plants and are cannabinoids that are active ingredients. Both CBD and THC are naturally occurring, and both can change lives. So what’s the difference?

THC is a psychoactive compound, which means it has mind- and mood-altering properties. CBD isn’t psychoactive, so it doesn’t make you feel high. No matter how your CBD was sourced or how much of it you take, there’s no way to get high without THC.

There are other differences between THC and CBD as well. These cannabinoids are both found in plants in the cannabis family. However, they don’t develop in the same plants at the same rate. Hemp tends to have much more CBD than marijuana plants do.

Hemp also has virtually no THC. Current U.S. law states that hemp plants can’t contain more than 0.3% THC. Marijuana strains, on the other hand, have much higher percentages of THC. For example, some strains have more than 30% THC. That’s 100 times more than hemp contains!In-Conclusion-on-What-CBD

In Conclusion on What CBD is

CBD is a non-psychoactive compound found in hemp and cannabis plants. Unlike THC, CBD does not get you high. This allows for a wider range of times you can take CBD and opens new avenues for CBD to enter people’s lives. Many people take CBD for its long list of therapeutic benefits, and since cannabidiol is in its infancy, the list is sure to grow larger over time.
